Spark of Hope #54 – In the months leading up to our Choose Hope Program there have been over-the-top joyful moments and under-the-gun stressful moments. Both have brought me to my knees on multiple occasions. The three constants that kept me afloat during the course of essentially birthing a new baby were my family, my team members and the Army. Have you ever felt something was so important that you wanted to protect it with all your might? Now, you understand why I said baby! I have treasured the development of this program as much as the opportunity to deliver it. I wasn’t about to throw in the towel when stumbling blocks pummeled my way. Instead, I reached out, I prayed, and I persevered. I felt my determination rewarded when I began noticing bold signs. On Sunday, I went to Wal-Mart to pick up some supplies. Every isle I walked down, there was an Army Soldier in uniform. On Tuesday, I went to Sam’s Club and again saw one Army Soldier after another within those walls. The “signs” brought a smile to my face. I have gained unwaivering support from the Army’s 7th Special Forces 1st Battalion. They have had my back! See the signs of HOPE—it makes Huge Outcomes Possible Everyday!
Signs even in the parking lot!
Hope is like a spark; if the conditions are right, it can spread like wildfire. Hope feeds the soul, ignites passion, and inspires others. A world without it is like a world without possibility. Tucked inside each of us is a child-like spark that says: never forget to dream, play and imagine. HOPE is the extraordinary spark that says Huge Outcomes are Possible Everyday!
