Spark of Hope #130 – The air is filled with great anticipation. For soon mom will have her wings. She will be FREE. Even at this end-stage, she continues to exhibit incredible strength in awaiting “new life.” We are gathered by her bedside, sharing stories and singing songs. Speaking words of beauty, renewal, faith and abundant love. My time to get off the Alzheimer’s roller coaster is fast and slow coming all at once (read my 3 wishes). Still, the miracles keep shining through! Here’s one:
“When the Saints Come Marching In” is among my mother’s favorite songs. We’ve sung it often in these days of waiting; encouraging mom to go marching, straight into heaven! Then, this morning this message came through my niece about her 7-year-old son. “On the way to school this morning Jack was very excited to show me a new song they are learning that he loves….what are the odds?” That song he’s learning just happens to be When The Saints Come Marching In. Coincidence? I think not!
And so, we wait upon The Lord, in joyful anticipation of her angel wings. Yes, even now, there is joy! God’s calling, “When the saints come marching in”!

Hope is like a spark; if the conditions are right, it can spread like wildfire. Hope feeds the soul, ignites passion, and inspires others. Tucked inside each of us is a child-like spark that says: never forget to dream, play, and imagine. HOPE is the extraordinary spark that says Huge Outcomes are Possible Everyday!
