Spark of Hope #128: “If we all threw our problems into a pile and saw everyone else’s we’d grab ours back.” Regina Brett may not have had that right in every case, but it’s probably true more often than not. This last week has been fraught with one difficulty after another. Then, I inadvertently threw a few blunders into the growing problem pile. Feel the stress? Adapt and overcome! Stay positive! This too shall pass! Pray and then pray some more! Breathe, just breathe.
Perspective checks help, especially when you just want to bury your head in the sand. Instead, bury your mistakes; surrender what you don’t have control over; and remember, if intentions are good, it will always be okay in the end. This year is quickly coming to a close. As we leave 300 some odd days behind, I am determined to focus more on my blessings than my blunders, more on the good than the bad, and more on being an overcomer than wanting to bury my head in the sand. Difficulties will come, and difficulties will go. Whatever it is you’re going through, stay in the fight till the final round. You’re not going under, cause God is holding you right now. You might be down for a moment, feel like it’s hopeless, but that’s when He reminds you that you’ll overcome it … no matter how many problems are in your pile.

Hope is like a spark; if the conditions are right, it can spread like wildfire. Hope feeds the soul, ignites passion, and inspires others. Tucked inside each of us is a child-like spark that says: never forget to dream, play, and imagine. HOPE is the extraordinary spark that says Huge Outcomes are Possible Everyday!
