The Elf on the Shelf Christmas tradition is the brainchild of Carol V. Aebersold and Chanda A. Bell. Christmas is a magical time filled with anticipation and surprise. We encourage you to explore the story of how “the elf on the shelf” has been engaging children and adults alike since 2005. (Click the link!) Today, Hope Matters adopted two new partners in hope. Let me take a few moments to introduce them, and their holiday mission, to you!
Our 15-day whimsical journey begins now. Taking time out to play, dream and imagination can make the unbearable bearable again. Families going through tough stuff, like cancer, deployment to war and Alzheimer’s disease typically don’t get enough breaks. So, we’ve adopted twin elves to bring you some cyber-support. In the spirit of the Elf on the Shelf story, Hope Matters’ elves have embarked on a journey of listening, helping and discovering, along with taking time to play, dream and imagine. Together Hope Elfie and Hugs Elfie will perform daily missions to magify hope in others’ lives and deliver the gift of hugs! Join us as we journey alongside them and count down the days til Christmas.
Guess where Hope & Hugs Elfie headed? (It’s not the North Pole!) They needed a boost & we had to stop them from jumping head-first into coffee beans!
