Spark of Hope #57 – Simply Celebrating Love

The other day I had a phone call from my sisters, their husbands and my parents. Just imagine seven people on speaker phone at the same time! We were overdue to talk with our parents about their pressing needs. Dad is 80 years old and coping with physical problems. Mom is 79 and combating Alzheimer’s disease. Collectively, we created a fast-moving plan to help our parents physically, financially, emotionally and spiritually.  It was a beautiful example of one of the tools I share with other families: collective effort! When families come together, no one is burdened and everyone is blessed. In the middle of the call, Mom said to me “You know, it’s our 60th anniversary, can you write a story in the paper?” Tear filled my eyes as my heart filled with joy. My mother was celebrating love, albeit 3 months ahead of time. Alzheimer’s disease has stolen so many things from my mother, but it can’t steal love! When families come together in life’s most difficult journeys, there is ample room for love and HOPE — that makes Huge Outcomes Possible Everyday!

60 Years of Simply Growing Seeds of Love

Hope is like a spark; if the conditions are right, it can spread like wildfire. Hope feeds the soul, ignites passion, and inspires others. A world without it is like a world without possibility. Tucked inside each of us is a child-like spark that says: never forget to dream, play and imagine. HOPE is the extraordinary spark that says Huge Outcomes are Possible Everyday!
