Spark of Hope #55 – Attitude Shift

Spark of Hope #55 – Ordinarily, my attitude remains positive through life’s little annoynances. The “faces of feelings” pictured in the center of my books have been on my mind lately. Back-to-back little annoyances have added up to increasingly common annoyances. Those little faces pricked my heart when I realized that my attitude was shifting. It suddenly occurred to me that I was expecting annoyances more than I was expecting blessings. Wow! My stamina was being depleted, along with my optimism; I desperately needed an attitude reset through a much needed wake-up call. It began by indulging in 10 hours of sleep and awakening at sunrise today. After a healthy breakfast, I hit the pool to pray while swimming; my favorite place for quiet time with God. A writing retreat will follow a lunch date with my husband. Stamina comes from setting my mind on things that are lovely, pure, noble and praiseworthy. I’m grateful for wake-up calls and the ability to shift my attitude. Even when I don’t get a choice in what happens, I can choose my attitude in whatever happens. With HOPE—Huge Outcomes are Possible Everyday!
