Spark of Hope #45 – Red as a Beet!

Spark of  Hope #45 – In buying a fresh beet, I was struck by its brown exterior. It wasn’t until I peeled off its dirty outer layer that I got an appreciation of its claim to fame; it was (deep) red as a beet! The image of that beet stayed in my mind as I wrote workshop summaries for an upcoming military symposium. The attending wounded veterans, their families and support agencies know a lot about layers–and what’s perceived to be underneath. Through experiences and the arts, this symposium aims to help them discover healing–beneath their guarded outside layers. I look forward to having a part in refreshing their spirits. Through giving hearts and a vibrant agenda, Huge Outcomes will be Possible Everyday!

Beneath the outside layer, beets offer protection against coronary artery disease and stroke, lower cholesterol levels in the body and have anti-aging effects!

Hope is like a spark; if conditions are right, it can spread like wildfire. Hope feeds the soul, ignites passion and inspires  others. Tucked inside each of us is a child that says: Never forget to dream, play and imagine. HOPE is the extraordinary spark that says Huge Outcomes are Possible Everyday.
