Spark of Hope #17 – Shine a Light!

Spark of Hope #17 – I’ve been complaining about something for quite awhile. When I open my web browser, more times than not the headlines are sad, discouraging, shocking or Hollywood-themed. The stories highlighted in the newspaper, on the television news hour, or on the radio reiterate what I see featured on my web browser. We’re living in tough times; people all around us are struggling financially, physically, emotionally and spiritually. My complaint: HOPEFUL stories aren’t getting enough attention! Can’t “someone” cover those kind of stories more often? HOPEFUL stories deserve to stand out more than the ones rocking Hope’s potential. Don’t you think so too?

I’ve decided to stop complaining. Instead,  I’ll start highlighting HOPEFUL stories here on my blog, Facebook, and Twitter. Hope Matters! Being a light in a hurting world matters to me, and I want to show that Huge Outcomes are Possible Everyday!

I can’t wait to unwrap hopeful stories that make you smile!

Hope is like a spark; if the conditions are right, it can spread like wildfire. Hope feeds the soul, ignites passion, and inspires others. Tucked inside each of us is a child-like spark that says: never forget to dream, play and imagine. HOPE is the extraordinary spark that says Huge Outcomes are Possible Everyday!

  1. I agree with the complaints you register that too much of what we hear and see rob us of hope and encouragement. Your sharing of inspirational good news stories are blessings from heaven for me. Thank you for your Wednesday column. Soon it will be a daily one , I believe.

    1. It’s a long-standing problem in the media. My hope is to inspire others to do the same–collective effort makes for a great difference! Daily good news? Perhaps with contributing writers. 😉

  2. I share your discontentment w/ the everyday bad news we are bombarded with. It can easily discolor the beauty of the dawn or the hope of the sunrise. Thanks for your little sparks of HOPE!
