Spark of Hope #13 – Recycled Gifts

Spark of Hope #13 Years ago, I wrote a children’s book as a college assignment. My daughter sparked my imagination for the storyline and illustrations—she was 10 years old at the time. After celebrating the finished work we simply tucked it away; we didn’t give any thought to its title beginning with the word “When,” or that the Mom in the story turned Pink.

This year marks my daughter’s 25th Christmas; I gave her a polished copy of that book. We’re both awed by the spark that began fifteen years ago for little pink books–between mother and child. Through my child’s eyes, Huge Outcomes are Possible Everyday!

Never too old to play dress-up!

Hope is like a spark; if the conditions are right, it can spread like wildfire. Hope feeds the soul, ignites passion, and inspires others. Tucked inside each of us is a child-like spark that says: never forget to dream, play and imagine. HOPE is the extraordinary spark that says Huge Outcomes are Possible Everyday!

  1. Great remembrance. You have fortified my thinking that our current treasures that we enjoy from God are found in the past blessings that we had not fully understood or appreciated. God makes all kinds of connections.
