Spark of Hope #8 – Overdue Visits

Spark of Hope #8 – Every book tour is an opportunity to celebrate relationships, new and old. Returning to my childhood roots in New York this week, I’ve shared my passion to make a difference in the community and spent quality time with family. An overdue visit with my godfather, Henry, gave me a magnificent spark of hope. At 81 years of age, he recently moved into a new home. After getting a grand tour of the place, he said, “Now you have to see this!” He took my hand and led me down the stairs to his imaginary music room. He pointed out every instrument he played during road tours with his band. Then he described his vision for building a music studio. I reached out and gave him a big hug…thanking him for bringing my favorite motto to life: Never forget to play, imagine, and dream! With HOPE, Huge Outcomes are Possible Everyday — even at 81 years old.

Hope is like a spark; if the conditions are right, it can spread like wildfire. Hope feeds the soul, ignites passion, and inspires others. A world without it is like a world without possibility. Tucked inside each of us is a child-like spark that says: never forget to dream, play and imagine. HOPE is the extraordinary spark that says Huge Outcomes are Possible Everyday!
