Spark of Hope #7 – Comfort Zones

Spark of Hope #7 – Today, I had the honor of delivering a sermon on compassion to a community church in New York. The Pastor joked about rarely giving up his pulpit as he introduced me. His comment made me think about how my travels routinely take me out of my comfort zone—constantly challenging me with unfamiliar territory. A wise friend once shared, “don’t let your comfort zone become your comfort cage.” In order to share hope and compassion with others, we must get beyond the hindrances: Not knowing what to do; being afraid of doing the wrong thing; being stuck in our comfort zone.

Don’t let your comfort become your cage of fear; instead let your comfort become your carrier of hope. That is how Huge Outcomes are Possible Everyday!

Hope is like a spark; if the conditions are right, it can spread like wildfire. Hope feeds the soul, ignites passion, and inspires others. A world without it is like a world without possibility. Tucked inside each of us is a child-like spark that says: never forget to dream, play and imagine. HOPE is the extraordinary spark that says Huge Outcomes are Possible Everyday!
